On Wednesday, June 2, the Henry Pride celebrated their last day of school and the beginning of a new chapter with a special carnival! The sun was shining and the games were in full force- check out just a few snapshots from this fun-filled morning!
Last Thursday evening, May 27, the Dragons at Cole Middle School hosted their annual ColeChella end-of-year concert for their entire community! The lively student performances included R&B, Hip-Hop, Pop-Rock, Nortena, and Drumline Ensembles. The event included cameos from musicians from Denver who played along with many of the ensembles. As we near the close of a chapter for the Henry Pride, we know this year has not been without some unique challenges. However, throughout it all, our team has been dedicated to making the transition as seamless and supportive as possible for Henry families. As numerous Henry students prepare to join the College View MS community next year, the team has been hard at work to welcome them.
Everyone loves a good love story. Add dogs to the mix and it’s a classic. This week, we’re highlighting two future siblings, Reggie and Fitzgerald, who brought their parents, CG MS Special Education teacher Heather Charlton and her fiancé together at a dog park.

Many of us are no stranger to adversity- but sometimes, our pets have seen their fair share of struggle as well. Come along with us as we share the hero’s journey of Lucy, a chiweenie (half chihuahua, half Dachshund) who belongs to CG MS English Teacher, Camilla Waldeck-Young.
As we announced earlier this year, due to continued declines in enrollment, Henry Middle School will be consolidating with College View Middle School next year. The Pride team has been INCREDIBLE during this time of transition, and as they prepare for the end of this chapter, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate the students and staff who will carry their Pride spirit with them as they move on to their next exciting opportunities.
While honoring the Earth can’t be limited to just one month, April is a great opportunity to recognize the impactful ways that students and staff across our network are supporting our planet. Some of us may have gained the quarantine 15 over the past year, but our pets really show us how to wear the weight with style. One shining example is Riley, a 28-pound cat who belongs to the newest member of the Marketing, Advocacy, and Communications (MAC) Team, Moira Wiedenman.
