It has been an absolute dream to have our students back in school the past two days. These photos illuminate the joy, readiness and opportunity in a very strong start to the school year. 

1. The Doors Open: Welcome to a Year of Possibility

The day was filled with joyful reunions and new friendships. Students and staff reconnected as one team. Across DSST campuses, the first day began with open doors to our thriving communities.

From sixth graders stepping into middle school for the first time to seniors preparing for college, every student showed courage with the first steps into a new chapter.

The day was filled with joyful reunions and new friendships. Students and staff reconnected as one team.

Advisory groups launched with intention and community building. This structure supports students throughout the year.

Even on day one, we see the future is bright for our STEM leaders.

6. Founders’ Last First Day 

The Founding Class of 2026 of AST HS experiences their last first day of school at DSST. It has flown by, Owls!

Families are essential partners in our mission. Their presence on day one—full of pride and trust—reminds us that we are one thriving community.

The first day is just the beginning. With shared purpose and deep care, DSST is ready to empower every student to discover their brilliance and be prepared for college and the 21st century. 

We look ahead to the routine of school, the closeness of our communities and the deep learning that will happen across all grade levels.
