Ariel Berryman Memorial Scholarship applications now open for 2023-24

Written by DSST Public Schools | 12/06/22

The application for the Ariel Berryman Memorial Scholarship -- now in its sixth consecutive year -- is officially open. Jim and Teresa Berryman launched the Ariel Berryman Memorial Scholarship Fund after the loss of their daughter, Ariel, to honor her passion for helping others reach their full potential.

Each year, the Ariel Berryman Memorial Scholarship Fund provides a female senior graduating from DSST Public Schools with a scholarship to attend the University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver). This fund is matched dollar-for-dollar by CU Denver.

The 2023 Ariel Berryman Memorial Scholarship is available to support one DSST female high school student for college for the 2023-2024 academic year. The Ariel Berryman Memorial Scholarship endowment earnings will provide up to $3,000 per academic year to each recipient with a matching amount from CU Denver. Recipients will be eligible for the scholarship for up to four years and must meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum 3.0 high school GPA
  • Enrolled as a full-time student
  • Maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA while attending CU Denver
  • Meet all criteria for any matching scholarship

The deadline to apply is Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023. If you know of a student or students who should apply, please have them fill out the application linked below.
