Benefits Open Enrollment ends June 5

We are now officially in our Benefits Open Enrollment period!

Through Tuesday, June 5, 2018, you will need to log in and make your new Kaiser Medical Benefit selection, as well as enroll in additional benefits such as dental, vision or life insurance for the coming year. During this time, you are also able to waive coverage and/or add or remove coverage for dependents. All this can be done through our benefits portal, www.dsst.bswift.com.  

For this enrollment season you must log into your bswift account to make your benefits selections. If you do not select benefits or waive coverage, you will automatically be enrolled in the Kaiser HDHP - employee only plan.

Click here for a step-by-step guide to an online tool with tips for navigating the open enrollment process! To begin enrollment, go to www.dsst.bswift.com and log in:

Username: First initial + last name

Password: Automatically reset to the last 4 digits of your social security number

If you are waiving coverage and need a letter form DSST stating that your coverage through Aetna has ended effective June 30, please email humanresources@scienceandtech.org, and we will email you the document.

Also, a number of questions we have received have been medical in nature and thus to provide additional support a Kaiser Representative will be at the Home Office on Wednesday, June 6 from 1-4 p.m. and Friday, June 8 from 8-11 a.m. to answer additional questions and offer support.  

2018-2019 Benefit Highlights

  • *NEW* We are switching to Kaiser. Effective July 1, 2018, we will use Kaiser for medical coverage. Please take a moment review the two medical plans that we will be offering through Kaiser. Click here to view an Overview of Changes & Plan Pricing
  • *NEW* Sun Life Life Insurance Program Expansion: You now the ability to purchase additional Life/AD&D insurance for yourself, your spouse and children. Sun Life offers a guarantee of issue without medical questions for any amounts up to $200,000 of coverage for yourself or up to $50,000 for your spouse.

All benefits-related information can be found on the Helix. These plans will be effective July 1, 2018.
