CG Middle School Leadership Announcement

Written by DSST Public Schools | 01/31/19

Dear DSST Staff,

I am writing today to share the news that John Clark, School Director of DSST: Conservatory Green Middle School, will be starting a new chapter in his career and is transitioning from his role as School Director at the end of the 2018-19 school year.

John began teaching at DSST: Stapleton in 2011 as an 8th Grade English teacher, then became an Associate School Director and later served as the founding School Director of DSST: Conservatory Green Middle School.  For the past 6 years, it has been incredible to watch the DSST Hornets grow from a single class of 6th grade students, to a fully built out middle school program of over 450 students in grades 6-8. I am especially proud that under John’s leadership, every year Conservatory Green Middle School has been the recipient of the ELPA award for ELL results, and has been rated a top 10 middle school in Denver by the SPF framework.

DSST: Conservatory Green Middle School has an exceptional staff of over 40 talented and passionate teachers and leaders. I am confident that with such a strong school foundation, DSST: Conservatory Green will continue its dedication to excellence and student achievement.

John will continue serving as School Director through the end of this school year. DSST’s Chief Talent Officer, Christine Nelson, and her team are leading the transition process for a new School Director for the year ahead.

Please join me in thanking John for his dedicated work at DSST over the past eight years. I applaud his tireless dedication as an educator, leader, and friend, and wish him the very best of luck as he continues his education journey.
