Local group seeking nominations for Beautillion

The Denver Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is looking for male African-American high school juniors to honor during their for their 35th Beautillion.

The event recognizes students who "meet a high academic standard and who possess a documented record of extracurricular activities and contributions to their communities." The deadline to nominate students is Friday, May 11. Click here for the nomination form. Completed forms should be emailed to JJDenverBeautillionCO@gmail.com.

Among the criteria to be a nominee:

• Current African-American male junior student (will be senior in Fall of 2018)
• Unweighted GPA of 2.75 or higher is recommended
• Outstanding contributions to school, athletics, and/or the community
• Graduation from high school in Spring 2019
• Positive behavior and conduct in keeping with the goals of the Jack & Jill Beautillion
