Open Enrollment Season is Here!

First, we want to again acknowledge that changing benefits is very difficult and we apologize for the disruption this may have caused to you and your family. Please know that we are here to support you through this transition. You can reach out to us anytime for 1-1 support  by e-mail or calling 866-307-6096 (new Aetna concierge service who will act as your personal assistant for understanding your benefits).

Second, we are reaching out to let you know that our benefits open enrollment window has begun and will run from today, Monday, May 6th, through Friday, May 31st. DSST staff must actively enroll or waive coverage by going to DSST’s Bswift benefits portal found on the Helix homepage.

Resources for employees:

• Information, tools & resources: Go to the new DSST Benefits Website to view  detailed information about each of the DSST Benefits offerings (medical, dental, vision, life, accident insurance, mental health resources and more!) to support you with open enrollment.

• Questions about plan details:
• Contact your new personal assistant for your benefits by calling the Aetna Concierge Service between 6am-7pm @ 866-307-6096; or
• Schedule 1-1 support appointment at your campus office hours

• Special situation regarding ongoing treatment (pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc):
• If you have significant medical treatment underway, or an upcoming procedure, reach out to DSST Talent Operations team: HumanResources@scienceandtech.org

• Step-by-step guide on how to enroll: click here to view!
• Then go to www.dsst.bswift.com & login using the below credentials:
• Username: First initial + last name
• Password: The last 4 digits of your social security number - this has been automatically reset and upon first login you will be able to create a new password.

Benefit Spotlight: Each week we will provide a benefits enrollment reminder along with additional information about the DSST benefits package. This week we are sharing two resources:

• Benefits 101 Guide: Don’t know the difference between a High Deductible Plan vs. a Copay (aka HMO) plan? Review our Benefits 101 guide including definitions and short videos explaining your medical plan options.
• DSST Benefits Videos: View 1 minute videos on the new medical, dental and vision benefits offered through Aetna. The password to access these videos is “DSST”.
