Opinion: We kids may not be able to bounce back from the pandemic immediately

As my feet echo against the pavement, I look up at the building. Everything appears empty as if the school has lost its purpose. The halls are empty, the gym is empty, but the rooms aren’t. I feel a sense of anxiousness as I walk with uncertainty into this unfamiliar place. It all seems to have a sense of novelty. The expectations of the classroom have shifted. The rules of learning obstructed and transformed, so that this place no longer feels like school, but rather an idea of the past. Nevertheless, it’s still a place of learning, so I walk to my seat and begin class.
