Return to School has been no small endeavor, and amidst all of the distancing, masking, health screening, and sanitizing, some of us have lost sight of what matters most. Pet pics! But we’re in for a treat this week as Eric Benzel, Senior Manager of Talent Pipelines introduces us to his distinguished gentleman of a dog, Bronco!
When he’s not having fun with Bronco, Eric works on the Home Office team managing all pre-service teacher programs and partnerships to ensure our schools have access to great new teachers. Currently, he and the Talent Acquisition Team are especially focused on finding new candidates for the Apprentice Teacher Program. The first priority deadline for the Apprentice Teacher Program is just around the corner- March 1st. Know someone who could be a great fit for our Apprentice Teacher Program or other DSST roles? Refer them today! If your referral is hired, you could earn a referral bonus (read our referral policy here). While we hire on a rolling basis, applications received by this first priority deadline receive preference for acceptance into our Apprentice Teaching cohort.
Now that you’ve referred a friend or two to the Apprentice Teacher Program, treat yourself to some fabulous pictures of this six year old Wheaten Terrier. Bronco joined Eric and his husband’s home at 10 months old while they were living in Brooklyn, NY. He was one of the puppies of his sister’s two Wheaten Terriers, Bean and Nacho, and arrived in style when Eric’s parents flew out and visited for Christmas.
“Two? Make it three, I’m not driving.”
But true to his name, Bronco is a Coloradan now and loves to hike and chase new friends in the water at the Cherry Creek Dog Park.
Bronco not only enjoys spending quality time with his human parents, but also with his doggo parents, Bean and Nacho, and loves to visit them in Highlands Ranch and run around their big yard.
Just like another favorite pet on the Human Capital team, Bronco has a refined palate for fancy cheeses. On two separate occasions, he has surreptitiously stolen an entire wheel of brie from a cheese plate while his distracted humans weren’t looking!
While we see Bronco snoozing on just a single throw pillow here, this dog has a passion for pillows. He likes to kick and shuffle them around so that he can lounge on a giant stack. You may catch Eric chuckling on a Teams call as Bronco maneuvers himself onto a ridiculous amount of pillows right next to his dad. Some would argue it’s the only way to take a call these days!
