While our pets may be getting even more walks and quality human time than ever before, they have not enjoyed their due attention on the Helix lately. So what better way to close out the 19-20 school year than one more Pet of the Week who loves the outdoors- five year old Beta! 

Sure the view is great, but have you seen my shoes?

Beta is a great backpacking buddy to her dad Greg Walker, 7th grade Social Studies teacher at Byers. She loves hiking, sleeping in the sun, and protecting the house from squirrels.

Adventurous and strong, this mutt has climbed 5 fourteeners and even carries her own pack.

Hey, where’s my beer? I carried it all the way up here after all!

Beta has been missing the dog park during quarantine, but looks forward to new summer adventures and being reunited with her friends.
