From the breweries to the hiking trails, it often seems that dogs run the show in Denver. However, it’s been famously asserted that cats rule and dogs drool. Babs and Pippin would likely agree!

As students just finished Trimester 1 IAs and Finals, we thought it would be especially fitting to highlight Manager of Data Visualization Christin Hanley and her two cats. As Manager of Data Visualization, she is responsible for the majority of Polaris reporting, including building and maintaining dashboards, and she works hard to align data with practice. Her current projects include rolling out all IAs/Finals Dashboards, and she’s also preparing for mid-year CTI reporting, Winter MAP and Winter (P)SAT.  

Christin adopted Babs from a kill shelter in Harlem, NYC two and a half years ago, and Pippin from the Dumb Friends League a little over a year ago. In fact, our former Chief Operating Officer Scott Walker brought in fostered kittens from the DFL to the office right before Labor Day last year, which prompted her to visit the DFL and bring Pippin home. 

While they are indoor cats, they enjoy many different activities. Pippin loves to play fetch, and Babs enjoys sunning herself on the patio, hanging out between the shower curtain, and walking in the snow.

They also have quite refined palates- Pippin enjoys veggie sticks, Babs like meatballs, and both of them love sushi.

While neither of them enjoy dressing up, Babs looked fierce sporting a leash on a recent trip to the airport.

Babs and Pippin are truly the best of friends, and love each other more than they love their mom, which is something Christin is still coming to terms with. But of course, she loves them all the same!
