Share Summer Fellowship opportunities at DSST

Do you know any current DSST college students looking for paid opportunities to engage with students this summer? The network is offering looking for applicants for two programs this summer.
 
  • The Summer Fellows Program is a paid, three-week fellowship. Through the program, students will have the opportunity to work with a DSST mentor teacher throughout the network's summer school. In addition to learning instructional and classroom management strategies with the mentor teacher, fellowship participants will learn about issues related to inequality in education in both Denver and the larger Colorado landscape while building their leadership skills and capacity. Previous experience in or commitment to pursuing a career in education is not required to apply. The program is runs June 13 - July 3.
  • DSST is also excited to pilot the inaugural DSST lead summer bridge program! The College Success Fellows program is a two-week paid fellowship. Through the program, students will have the opportunity to mentor 15 recent DSST graduates and help them prepare for their transition to college. Students will build leadership capacity by planning and executing lessons, but also cultivate lasting relationship with the students they mentor. Previous experience in or commitment to pursuing a career in education is not required to apply. The program is set for June 18- 29. Time commitment might shift by a day or two, to be shorter not longer.
