Teams Breakout Rooms are Here!

If you haven’t seen it yet, breakout rooms are in Teams now!

Only the meeting organizer can start breakout rooms. So teachers will only see this in meetings that they organized.

Getting Breakout Rooms In Your Teams

This is being rolled out to users across our network. It may take a day or two.
You will only see the button for this if you are in a meeting that you organized.

Make sure that the new meeting experience is enabled (Teams -> Settings -> General -> Check “Turn on new meeting experience”)

Check and make sure you have the latest Teams updates (Update Microsoft Teams - Office Support)
