Before everyone heads out to relax and recharge for the summer, we wanted to take a moment to recognize the generosity of our amazing DSST team. We raised nearly $80,000 in support of the DSST COVID Family Relief Fund, and this team played no small role in that success.
Over the past two months, life as we knew it completely changed. And amidst the huge effort it took to make the transition to E-School, this team went above and beyond simply meeting the learning needs of our students. One significant example is the 93 staff donors who collectively contributed $12,650 to the COVID Family Relief Fund. That is extraordinary.
Another big thanks is due to the 15 DSST volunteers who took the time to work the phones, pack meals, and deliver them across the city and beyond.
Thanks to you, we were able to deliver an average of 1,400 meals a week to families, in partnership with the Denver Metro Emergency Food Network. Additionally, through our partnership with Focus Points, your donations played a role in supporting 13 families in need of rent and utility assistance.
Thank you again for your generosity during these incredibly difficult times. During a critical moment, you have truly made a difference in the lives of our students, as well as our larger community.
