As we kick off the new school year, we will also be launching a new chat platform: Microsoft Teams! Skype is being mothballed by Microsoft this fall, and after carefully evaluating our alternatives, we will be replacing it with Microsoft Teams. New staff was trained on it last week, and you should already see an icon for it on your desktop. (If you do not see it on your desktop, you can download it and login online.) An account has already been created for you, so simply login using your regular credentials!
Education is hardly the only issue driving the 2020 presidential campaign. But policies affecting schools and students are emerging as some of the most talked-about.
Are you new to the Denver area and looking for the right neighborhood to call home that is also close to your school?
Have friends and new colleagues who need some guidance?

California’s years-long debate over school choice has taken a decisive turn over the first few months of Gov. Gavin Newsom’s tenure — and the shift has come at the expense of charter schools.
It’s hard to believe that we’ll be wrapping up yet another fantastic school year at the end of this week. Filled with both momentous achievements and serious challenges, there was no shortage of authentic moments. As we send our students off to enjoy the (hopefully!) warmer weather and head out ourselves for a well-deserved and relaxing summer break, we’re also reflecting on the ups and downs we’ve experienced along the way. What was your greatest success of the year? Your toughest challenge? We’d love to hear your thoughts - drop us a note through the comment box below!
When I started at Claremont McKenna College (CMC) this past fall as a first-generation college student from Denver, I knew I was in for a big transition. While many of my fellow classmates had parents to help them adjust to the unfamiliar world of college, I was essentially alone when I got to campus.
