The second annual report The Outliers: The State of Colorado School Districts 2018, digs into student performance to uncover the Colorado public school districts that are “outliers,” the districts that buck the trend either by getting notable results for students compared to other school systems in the state, or where the promise of an excellent education remains too distant. As a state, Colorado still falls well short of guaranteeing all public school students an excellent academic education. As of 2017, 43% of students met or exceeded expectations in elementary English Language Arts and just 36% in elementary Math.
Team:
Educators across Denver are organizing a rally on April 27 advocating for greater education funding and better compensation for teachers. DSST fully supports these goals, and we want to make sure that all staff are able to participate if they desire.
Senior Signing Day is about celebrating the Class of 2018’s bright future, but our latest video gives us a chance to reflect on the past.
College access and affordability: It's a common topic in higher education — because college is the one place that can really be a catapult when it comes to moving up the economic ladder.

Hey! Are you reading this while in line at the grocery store? Or perhaps while waiting for your friend to arrive at the bar? If so, good news. You can now actually click on the links and read At Our Core and other DSST news, even if you’re not connected to the DSST VPN.
I have some exciting news. Since joining the DSST family in 2015, Dan Sullivan has been a terrific addition to our network. That’s why, after an extensive nationwide search, we have selected Dan as the Campus Director for both DSST: Stapleton Middle and High Schools.
Recent research suggests the value of education extends far beyond the simple calculations of tuition and salary that tend to dominate discussions of the issue.
How special is Senior Signing Day to our staff? Listen to them describe the pride and joy they feel in the video below. Many of us have watched the Class of 2018 grow and mature into tremendous students whose hard work is paying off in big ways. We can’t wait to see what they will accomplish in college and beyond.
Our annual Slice of Pi fundraiser is a chance for DSST to showcase to donors and friends the extraordinary things that happen on our campuses.
