Last week we met the CG MS Hive staff, and this week we’re heading over to their companion high school, CG HS! This exceptional group includes Kate Johnson, Karla AlonisMunoz, Lauren Thompson, Ryan Cosby, and Elisa Rodriguez Chrenlich. Read on and get to know the team!

Favorite Part of the Job: My students!

What Brought You to This Work: I love working with students who think and learn in such creative ways

Favorite Quarantine Treat:  Pistachio ice cream and chips/salsa

Recent Fun Activities in Center Programs: Soccer with giant soccer ball, bowling, writing and seeing students be creative

Self Care Practices of Choice: Yoga, a long bike ride and coffee from my favorite coffee shop!

Favorite Part of the Job: Learning from my peers!

Why Special Education is Important: Diversity! Students from all different backgrounds, race and creed deserve a voice.

Favorite Vacation Spot: My favorite place I have traveled to is Ciudad Juarez, Mexico and Las Vegas.

Favorite Part of the Job: Conversations with students and seeing them grow!

What brought you to this work? Being able to help all students achieve communication and functional independence in the classroom and for the future.

Fun activity you’ve recently done in Center Programs: Playing bowling outside with one of our students.

Self-Care Practices of Choice: Home workouts and walking around my neighborhood.

Favorite Vacation Spot: My favorite place would have to be Hawaii. I love the culture and all the fun outdoor activities.

Favorite Part of the Job: Getting to work with amazing co-workers and THE best students!

What Brought You To This Work? I love teaching students that learn in various different ways, it motivates me to always think creatively and to consistently be aware of my own growth as a teacher.

Fun activity you’ve recently done in Center Programs: Dancing with everyone during a music lesson is always a blast!

Currently Watching: Death to 2020 on Netflix is amazing! The comedic recap of 2020 that we needed.

Elisa Rodriguez Chrenlich, CP Support Specialist

Favorite Part of the Job: I love the relationships I have with my students and I love teaching them!

What Brought You To This Work? I've always had an interest in working with special ED students. I think it's so important to me because I love ensuring that all students are receiving the education they deserve and I love being able to provide that for them.

Favorite Quarantine Treat: Ramen

Funniest Thing a Student Has Done: One of my students falls asleep a lot during lessons and she loves to let us know when she is awake

Favorite Vacation Spot: Belize was one of my favorite places to visit and vacation at. Beautiful beaches!
