Celebrating Exemplary Teaching

Posted by DSST Public Schools on 05/13/20

We are all incredibly disappointed we didn’t have the chance to recognize this incredible group of teachers in person this year as part of our Night to Celebrate Exemplary Teaching - first because of a blizzard and then because of a pandemic. While we continue to plan on finding a way to celebrate Exemplary Teaching in this upcoming school year we simply couldn’t close out this school year without elevating the incredible work and impact of this special group. We’ve put together a series of three Virtual Nights to Celebrate Exemplary Teaching. These nights will include student speeches, videos of teachers in action, comments from team members and special acknowledgements for all awardees.

Our three night celebration will look like this:

  • Each evening will be a virtual event that will play live on both YouTube and Facebook (links to come shortly & also be provided in the Morning Jolt that day) so that you, your family & friends and the DSST community can all watch and celebrate together at the same time. These videos will also continue to be available after the event so that anyone who can’t make the event itself can watch it after the fact.
  • The events will include celebrating the following groups during each of these nights:
Monday - 5/18 - 6pm MST Tuesday - 5/26 - 6pm MST Monday - 6/1 - 6pm MST
