Mark your calendars! Colorado’s largest day of giving, Colorado Gives Day, is happening on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. 

Did you know that parents, community members and staff can designate their gift to a specific DSST School on Colorado Gives Day?  We invite you to help raise funds for your school by sharing DSST’s Colorado Gives Day giving link with families, community members and friends who want to support your school this December.  

What is Colorado Gives Day? 

Colorado Gives Day is an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. Gifts made on December 8^th through coloradogives.org benefit from a $1 million Incentive Fund, boosting the impact of every dollar raised. Colorado Gives Day gifts can be scheduled in advance, beginning November 1^st.   

How Can You Spread the Word? 

1. Share DSST’s Colorado Gives Day Link with parents, friends and families in your network!

Here is a sample message you can leverage: 

Support [SCHOOL NAME] on Colorado Gives Day!  Thanks to the $1 Million Incentive Fund, your donation goes even further when you make a gift to DSST through the Community First Foundation on December 8^th.  Even $5 makes a difference. When you donate to [SCHOOL NAME] through Colorado Gives, you empower ALL students, regardless of socioeconomic status or background, to achieve their greatest potential both as students and members of their communities, growing the future leaders of tomorrow. 

To make a gift to [SCHOOL NAME], follow the below instructions:

• • Visit this link
  • Choose donation amount
  • Under Donation Frequency, make sure "Colorado Gives Day" is selected. This option will schedule the donation to process on Dec. 8, 2020, Colorado Gives Day.
  • Complete additional donation fields. Be sure to select “Designate to a Specific School” in the donation drop-down menu and type the school name/ program in the “Special Instructions” box. 
  • Click "SUBMIT.”

2. Share DSST’s Colorado Gives Day Social Media Promotion with Your Network

• We have already begun promoting Colorado Gives Day on DSST’s network social media pages. Be on the look-out for posts that you can share and re-post to your own social media accounts for maximum exposure!
• Follow DSST Public Schools on Facebook
• Share any posts that mention Colorado Gives Day (before sharing, make sure to mention that gifts can be designated to your specific school!)
