DSST kicked off the 2026-27 school year with the clear focus of ensuring every student is known, supported and equipped to succeed. Our theme this year, All In Together, reflects a shared commitment to doing whatever it takes, together, to create the conditions for every student to thrive. As we enter Year 4 of our Strategic Plan, we know that achieving our goals will require deep collaboration, collective responsibility and an unwavering belief in the potential of all students.
That same spirit is reflected in the Big 5 goals for 2026-27, which chart the course for the year ahead:
These goals build on years of progress and serve as our north star for the work ahead. This year, DSST will strengthen high-quality instruction and implement a data-driven student support system to ensure every learner receives the academic, social-emotional and behavioral support they need to succeed. By aligning our efforts across schools and teams, we can turn individual excellence into collective impact.
As CEO Nella García Urban shared, “We are not in this work for some students, or even most students. We are in this work for every single student.” That belief sits at the heart of All In Together and will continue to guide our work throughout the year.
Together, we have the opportunity to deliver on the promises of our Strategic Plan and ensure every DSST student has access to the opportunities, support, and sense of belonging they need to thrive.
