Hello my name is Tavion Daniels and I am the Employee Relations Manager for DSST Public Schools. I am the 2022  award winner for the Core Value of Doing Your Best, and I am thankful to my team for being selected for this award.

I have been working with DSST for four years now, and it has been a pleasure to lead the BSA (Black Student Alliance) at DSST: Cedar HS and help students navigate becoming young adults.

I had the pleasure of watching students grow from 6th to 12th grade as a Technical coordinator (a position I held when I received the award), educating them on best practices when utilizing technology in our buildings. That is why I partnered with my BSA group to select Curls on the Block and have DSST donate on my behalf.

Curls on the Block is an STEAM enrichment program for girls of all curls and colors to embrace, explore and empower their natural selves. I would love for you to learn more about their amazing program here.
