As decorative lights twinkle across the city and emails full of holiday deals pile up in our inbox, it can only mean one thing- it’s time for Giving & Cheer!  While the weather continues to keep us on our toes, and the days get shorter, we enjoy taking this opportunity to embrace the season. So, each year, DSST celebrates its amazing teams network-wide through an annual tradition called Giving & Cheer. During this two week long celebration leading up to Winter Break, we’ll be giving back to our community and spreading cheer throughout the network with fun activities and special treats. And, we invite you to join in on the fun!

Our DSST team works hard on behalf of our students and communities, and our hope is that this year’s Giving & Cheer festivities bring you closer to the amazing people (students and staff alike!) who surround you. We have plenty of tokens of appreciation and fun competitions in store for you this holiday season. In the days to come, we will even be inviting you to join us in a shout-out competition to power a donation to Denver Food Rescue, an organization dedicated to producing health equity with Denver neighborhoods, serving Denver’s hardest to access food insecure communities.

Here’s a sneak peek at the days ahead:

• Now through Thursday, Dec. 19: Giving & Cheer shout-out campaign. For each shout out you give your colleagues, DSST will donate $1 to Denver Food Rescue. The school that generates the most shout-outs will get a free lunch in January!
• Now through Friday, December 20: Don’t miss your chance to relax and recharge with massage chairs at your school! A full list of when and where the chairs will be on your campus is available here. 
• Tomorrow, December 11: Popcorn Party at every campus break room! 
• Dec. 11 through December 18: Deck your doors with festive holiday flair!  Send us a picture of your decorated door by December 18, and we’ll announce a winner on December 19. The winning door gets breakfast for the whole school on December 20.
• December 16-20: Look out for your network gift delivered to your school!
• Tuesday, Dec. 17: Special Delivery! Look out for a wintry token of appreciation dropping at your school.
• Wednesday, Dec. 18: Pick up a cozy chocolate treat at your campus- Hot Chocolate Kits will be packed up and ready to be enjoyed at home  
• Thursday, Dec. 19: Please join us at 6 p.m. for the annual DSST Holiday Party at the EXDO Event Center. If you have not already RSVPed,  please take a minute to do so by EOD Thursday, December 12! We’ll gather to celebrate the Core Value Award winners and the extraordinary work of our community so far this year.
