It would be impossible for DSST to have the impact that it does without its amazing teachers and staff. Each day, they tirelessly help our students become the best versions of themselves. That’s why we’re happy to give much-deserved special recognition during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 4-8. 

On a good day, we know a teacher’s job is far from easy- but the recent challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought us underscore what a truly agile and dedicated team we have. During these unprecedented times, we have even more reason to honor teachers as they have transitioned from a physical learning environment to virtual E-School with extraordinary commitment to our students’ learning.

It’s also crucial now more than ever to care for ourselves and each other both mentally and emotionally. We know that many of the local businesses we love are feeling especially challenged during this time. To honor all of the hard work done for students, and to support our larger communities, we are sending a grant-funded $15 DoorDash gift card to all instructional, support and Front Office staff on May 8, 2020, plus free delivery by using DashPass, to be used in support of a favorite local restaurant. You will receive an email from DoorDash on May 8 with directions on how to redeem your gift card.
