Emotional Wellness inspires self-care, relaxation, stress reduction and the development of inner strength. A way to connect and improve your emotional wellness is to practice mindfulness. Mindfulness is a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations. It is important to be attentive to both positive and negative feelings and be able to understand how to handle these emotions.
How you feel can affect your ability to carry out everyday activities, your relationships, and your overall mental health. It’s important that we take the time to acknowledge our feelings and find ways of coping with disappointments and stress. |
