At DSST we’re all about the people. We value wellness and support each other to lead fulfilling and healthy lives. It’s why we started Healthy U, where we focus on a different dimension of wellness in each monthly post. We hope to provide you with the information and tools needed to achieve both personal and professional fulfillment.
Physical Wellness promotes proper care of our bodies for optimal health and functioning. There are many elements of physical wellness that must be cared for together. Overall physical wellness encourages the balance of physical activity, nutrition and mental well-being to keep your body in top condition. Stress is a normal psychological and physical reaction to the demands of life. Stress management gives you a range of tools to reset your alarm system. It can help your mind and body adapt and build resilience. Without it, your body might always be on high alert.
