Dear DSST Team, 

It’s that time again- we’re looking for your Core Value Award Nominations! Reflecting back, we could call this year enlightening, eye-opening, extraordinary. But let’s just say it- this year was also downright difficult. From a global pandemic, to devastating racial violence and important protests, a grueling election season, plus navigating online school, we’ve all had to step up to meet new challenges. Living by the values is more important than ever before, and recognizing those outstanding members of our team who go above and beyond in exemplifying the Core Values and serving their community is essential. 

Every year at the Holiday Party, six exemplary staff members from across our network of nearly 900 educators receive an award for showing what it means to live by the values. This year, we’ll be honoring those winners at our Virtual Holiday Party on December 17 with special videos that will recognize their hard work and indomitable spirit.  

We need your help! Between now and December 8, we’ll be accepting your Core Value Award nominations for those special team members who particularly show what it means to be values-driven. We challenge you to submit at least one nomination for each value- but no need to stop there! Remember, in the new year, everyone will get to see the kind words of their colleagues, even if they didn’t win! 

It could be your name in lights at the Holiday Party! We look forward to reading all of your nominations and hearing about the incredible educators who make DSST special.
