It's Survey Season!

Posted by Stefanie Gilary on 10/28/20

We know things are crazier than ever- from the news cycle to our own personal pandemic lives, there’s a lot going on. However, in order to continuously improve the satisfaction and development of our team, we are asking for a little bit of your time over the next few weeks to share your candid feedback. This will be in the form of three surveys- the Network Pulse Survey, the Top Workplace Survey, and the Mid-Year Survey.

Before launching these surveys, we’d like to share a bit about the rationale behind each of them. As you already know, we send out the Network Pulse Survey every other week to get a general idea of how our staff is doing across the network in the face of our pandemic realities and reopening work. Thank you all for continuing to complete this survey and sharing your important input. We will be launching one this week, and we look forward to hearing how you are doing. As a reminder, this survey is not anonymous, as we would like to properly follow up with any of our staff members who have voiced concerns.

Next week, on November 3, we will be launching the Top Workplace survey. Yes, this is also Election Day- but you’ve handed in your ballot already, right? We want DSST Public Schools to be an engaging and exciting place to work, and to help make that happen, we need your thoughts.  As you may already know, DSST Public Schools has been voted a Top Workplace by the Denver Post six times over the past 7 years. We are participating in the Denver Post Top Workplace Survey again, and on November 3, you will receive an email with a link to an anonymous online survey. Your feedback is crucial in this process, so please take a few minutes to complete it and provide us with your input. The survey will be open through November 13.

Later in November, we will be launching the annual Mid-Year Survey. Beginning on November 23, you will be able to share your thoughts on the current state of your school, the Home Office, and the network as a whole. This ranges from team health and commitment to core values to assessing network priority metrics. The data from this survey is a key indicator for staff job satisfaction, which gives Home Office and School Leaders actionable areas to focus on.  A Career Interest Survey accompanies the Mid-Year Survey, so that we can also better help with your career development and find the best role for you. Please note that the Mid-Year survey is anonymous, however the Career Interest portion is not, so that our Human Capital team and School Leaders can reach out to you about your development path. Look out for an email coming your way on November 23 when we launch this important survey.

If you would like to read more about these surveys, the rationale behind them, what they measure, and how to view the results, please visit this new page on the Helix

Thank you for taking the time to complete all three of these surveys! We look forward to hearing from you!
