A note from the DSST Human Capital Team.
It is that time of year again! Get ready to take a MOMENT for your ENROLLMENT! This year, we are thrilled to continue to offer you consistent, high quality, competitive and low cost benefits to support your wellness. Now more than ever, it is critical that you and your family have the coverage you need to protect your physical, mental and financial health, and DSST is here to help.
We understand that these decisions are important, and we also know that they can be hard to navigate on your own. We will be working with our Benefits team to provide you with information and support along the way (see details below including FAQs & a link to our office hours).
We have worked hard to keep core plans consistent for the 2022-23 school year with no increase in premiums despite the rising national cost of healthcare. You can view core plan components on our Benefit Website and FAQs below.
Open Enrollment Begins May 2, 2022, and the first campus to have all staff either enroll or waive coverage will receive treats delivered straight to their door.
Now go start preparing your list of questions that we can’t wait to answer!
BENEFITS FAQs:
Why is enrolling worth my time?
Staying healthy is important, and we aren’t just talking about your physical health. Health insurance not only provides you with access to benefits to protect your physical and mental health, it also provides financial protection in case you have a serious accident or illness. Your health coverage, supplemental insurance such as Aflac's accident and critical illness coverage, as well as our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) can help protect you from high, unexpected costs.
How do I enroll and by when?
- Enroll through Workday. You can enroll using your desktop or mobile application starting on May 2, 2022. Need to download the app? Here is a guide on how to do it!
- You must enroll or waive coverage by Tuesday, May 31, 2022. You will have 4 weeks to review your benefit options and decide which plans you will enroll in for the upcoming school year. Even if you are waiving (declining) DSST benefits, you still must log in to Workday and actively waive your enrollments.
What support will be provided if I have questions?
- Meeting Presentations. Talent Operations and our benefit team will be presenting benefits information to all campus and Home Office staff during staff meetings in May. These presentations are a great opportunity for you to learn more about updates, benefits offerings, and to ask questions about plan coverage and cost.
- Office Hours. Talent Operations will host regular Office Hours during the month of May to address general questions. You will also have the opportunity to schedule office hours with a benefits specialist throughout the month of May if you have specific questions. This time is great if you have a question that is specific to you or your family, or if you need 1:1 support.
- Benefits Website. Our benefits website has detailed information on all of our plans and guides on how to enroll. If you forget to bookmark the Benefits website, don’t fear, it can always be accessed at the Helix’s Employee Resource page, and in your Workday Benefits Application.
Wishing you wellness,
DSST Human Capital Team
