Are there any changes from last year?
- Cost - Due to increases by Aetna, employee costs for all plans will increase by a maximum of $30 monthly (this is for medical and dental combined). Additionally we have reduced the HSA gift to $250 for individuals & $500 for families
- Benefit Changes/Additions:
- Instead of Aetna Whole Health we are moving to the Aetna Premier Care Network (APCN) which gives our employees access to 1600 more primary care physicians and is also available outside of Colorado. Specialists, such as OBGYNs, may change due to this shift. You can search and see if your doctor is in the APCN or Open Access Network by searching the Aetna Doc Find site.
- To search in the lower premium cost narrow network– search for “2021 Aetna Premier Care Network (APCN)”
- To search in the higher premium cost broader network – search for “Aetna Choice POS II (Open Access)”
- Adding HealthJoy! This is an app that can help you find doctors and schedule appointments, and will also be our new provider for EAP services. Additionally, the provider guidance app will help our diverse staff find doctors that meet their needs (i.e. doctors/therapists of color and/or LGBTQ friendly doctors). Please note the number of free sessions are reduced from 10 sessions per topic to 8 sessions per topic
- Adding legal coverage available to purchase through ARAG.

How do I enroll and by when?
- Enroll through Workday. You can enroll using your desktop or mobile application. Need to download the app? Here is a guide on how to do it!
- You must update your coverage by Monday, May 31st. You will have 4 weeks to review your benefit options and decide which plans you will enroll in for the upcoming School Year. If you do not make any enrollment selections or changes, you will automatically be enrolled in your benefits from last year but without any FSA contributions.
What support will be provided if I have questions?
- Benefits Website. Our benefits website has detailed information on all of our plans and guides on how to enroll. If you forget to bookmark the Benefits website, don’t fear, it can always be accessed at the Helix’s Employee Resource page, and in your Workday Benefits Application.
- Office Hours. To support you, our TOPs Partners or a HUB benefits expert will be available for Office Hours! In an effort to best accommodate your busy schedule, please select the following calendly links for your campus below:
