In case you missed the email, you'll find in this post our network’s approach to health and safety and a few resources that outline how our Home Office and school teams have prioritized the health and safety of our students and teammates as we collectively tackle return to school planning.
Chalkbeat: For many parents, the visceral experience of walking a school’s hallways, chatting with the principal, and peeking into classrooms shapes their opinion of whether it’s a good school for their child. In Denver, a district that encourages school choice, such tours usually happen around this time of year, as families are gearing up to rank their top picks for the fall.
On Monday, Center Programs across the network returned to in-person learning and welcomed back so many happy students. Center Programs are particularly special thanks to the amazing staff that work tirelessly to help students thrive, even with our challenging Covid realities. We’ll be highlighting the incredible Center Program staff across the network over the next few weeks, and this week we are kicking it off with the valiant staff of the Montview Middle School Knight’s Castle!
Starting a new year provides an opportunity for looking forward hopefully. The insurrection in Washington D.C. January 6 makes that more challenging than usual.
At the Holiday Party, we announced that Cole Middle School won the Core Value Award Nomination challenge, with a whopping 230 nominations. As the winners of this challenge, they get to choose a charity that will receive a $1,000 donation from the DSST network. Here’s why they’ve chosen Warren Village to receive this donation:
Your tax forms will be available in Workday starting on January 22, 2021. Any team member paid in 2020 will receive a W-2, and any team member who participated in DSST’s medical insurance will receive a 1095-C Form. You can opt-in to receiving an electronic copy of your W2 and 1095-C by logging into Workday and completing the request in your inbox before January 19, 2021. By opting in to receive your W2 and 1095-C electronically, you will have access to these documents in your Workday account and will NOT receive a separate mailed paper statement.
After a year of impressive board meeting turnouts, impassioned public comments made both in person and virtually, signing petitions, and elevating all voices, we are excited to welcome the Noel Bulldogs to their new high school building this fall.
