Are you ready for the First Day of School? We know it will be unlike any other, and yet despite the differences and the challenges, we know this team will make it nothing less than extraordinary for students across our network. 

The first day always crackles with new and exciting possibilities, and students are all looking forward to reconnecting and making new friends after a long summer, even though for now it will be through a screen. That’s why we’d love to get a glimpse into the video advisories, morning meetings, chats, and everything in between to share it out with our entire DSST community. 

To kick the year off with some extra school spirit, two of our DSST summer interns (who are also alumni), Noah Salomon and Aldo Ruiz, have created custom Teams backgrounds for you and your students to use. You can access these while you are on a video call by hitting the ellipsis, select “Show Background Effects,” and then you should see your school-branded background images!  

In case you want to add an extra dash of school spirit, we recommend wearing your neck gaiter in your own creative way, and send us a screenshot!
