A few weeks ago, we asked families to share their thoughts on several different aspects of their student’s school, as well as the DSST network overall. It’s hard to keep good news to ourselves, and we’re excited to share some of the awesome feedback we saw from families across the network.
Who Took the Trimester 2 Family Survey?
- We received a total of 2,077 responses, slightly fewer than Trimester 1, but reflecting 21-25% of our families.
- 61% of respondents were middle school families, and 39% were high school
- 6th grade parent/guardians had the highest participation
- Shout-out to AST, where over 50% of families responded to the survey!
Racial Demographics of Respondents
- The survey was offered in four languages: English, Spanish, Arabic, Vietnamese
- Those who took the survey (and chose to respond to the optional question) very closely align with our overall network demographics by students
Survey Celebrations
- All questions were asked on a 5 point agreement scale, and they all had 80% or higher agreement/satisfaction 👏👏
- Overall, families feel VERY supported this year thanks to all of the great work happening at schools, and they especially feel the positive impacts of everyone’s focus on family communication in this challenging year.
