Senior Highlight: College View classmates, friends talk about why they are proud of each other

DSST: College View seniors Leslie Cesta and Marissa Montoya are classmates, teammates and friends. We sat down to ask them a few questions about their friendship and their time at DSST:

Q: How did DSST prepare you for the college application process?

A (Leslie): Freshman year we started looking into colleges ... we were introduced to private colleges, public colleges and you get to see if it's a good fit for you.

Q: What are you plans for next year?

A (Marissa): I'm going to go to Regis University and I'm hopefully going into the medical field ... I went on a college tour and I realized I liked smaller schools and smaller class sizes. That just seems like a better fit for me.

Q: Why are you proud of each other?

A (Leslie): This is a new phase in (Marissa's) life and I know she will do great in college ... I know that the medical field will be a great fit for her.

A (Marissa): Since senior year started, (Leslie) has been telling me her doubts about college ... now that she is finally realizing what she wants to do ... I feel excited for her and I am really happy that she's finally decided what's going to make her happy.
