DSST Team,
We are doing our best to keep you informed and up to date on the rapidly changing COVID-19 outbreak. Thank you for the amazing work you do serving our students each day in these strange times. Your leadership and love for our students will help them feel more settled in these unsettling circumstances.
DSST is a special community because of your daily efforts to support, grow and love our students. Your work is hard enough without having to contend with things like COVID-19. Keeping you safe and healthy is very important to me. Over the coming days and weeks, we will try to do our best to keep you fully informed on the COVID-19 situation. Below is an update.
We’re gearing up for our best Senior Signing Day yet! Our five classes of Seniors are preparing to walk across the stage to announce their plans for college and career at Senior Signing Day 2020. We cannot wait to honor the incredible potential of each one of our Seniors.
We recognize that one of the best sources for new team members is referrals from current team members. Last school year, many of our new hires came from referrals from team members, community members, students, and families!
When a 6th grade science teacher left our school last fall for active duty, a packed room of 6th and 7th graders gave him a tearful military sendoff. “He did so much to help me last year,” said one student, a former member of his advisory group. These words of gratitude were echoed by dozens of students.
In between classes and homework, Madeline Chalecki is spending all of her spare time talking about medical debt and our healthcare system. She's in twelfth grade at DSST: Montview High School and as part of her senior project, she is collecting donations to abolish medical debt.
