A recent poll found that the thing people have been missing the most during quarantine is not happy hour with friends, their favorite fitness class, or spending time with their family. It’s been Pet of the Week! 😉
Last week, we kicked off Project: Create, a series of weekly STEM challenges for K-12 students across Colorado. Every Wednesday, our media partner CBS4 will be announcing the winners of the previous week’s challenge, and will kick off the new one. Stay tuned for the story later this afternoon! These virtual contests not only get K-12 students to think creatively as they dive into a new project, but also have the extra incentive of great prizes and a chance to be featured on TV! We hope that you were able to share this opportunity with students last week, and will continue to do so over the next 5 week, whether during your advisories or in a Morning Meeting.
Thank you to everyone who shared your book recommendations earlier this year! We're feeling especially grateful to have them all here, as COVID-19 has given us the opportunity to catch up with all of the reading we may have missed.
We've already linked to their dedicated page on the Denver Public Library catalog so you can learn more and place an easy (and free!) hold on these favorite titles. While the library is closed, the Libby app is open! Using your library card, you can seamlessly access tons of books, including audiobooks, through this app. Check it out today!
This week, we’re highlighting Lola, an outdoorsy German Shepherd whose mom, Kyla Taylor, is an AP Chemistry & AP Biology Teacher at Conservatory Green High School.
Don't let your school's performers miss their chance to welcome over 8,000 attendees as they enter the Denver Coliseum on April 29 to celebrate seniors from across the network.
Have you donated your college swag yet? You could win a pizza party for your school!
On March 26, DSST high school students will have the opportunity to explore and connect with 30+ colleges and universities from around the country at the Colorado Convention Center. In addition to a traditional college fair, students will be able to take advantage of breakout sessions geared toward preparing students for success on the road to and through college.
This week, in honor of the huge Byers Boys basketball win last week (they play DSST: GVR HS tonight and the winner moves on to the conference finals!) we’re highlighting two dogs named after sports stars- Jeter and Judge!
Cole MS celebrated their Tri 2 PA Day last Friday, so it was only fitting that Emily Burkhardt, integral to the event, enjoys the glow of the Super Staff Spotlight this week!
While it may seem far away now, Senior Signing Day planning is already underway!
DENVER (CBS4) – A charter school in northeast Denver is continuing to make a plea to the board of Denver Public Schools for expansion.
